RMNCH in a Devolved State: The Kenya Context
The past two years have witnessed unprecedented global support and visibility for reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH); a number of global and regional initiatives (see Box 1), including the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General’s Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health and the Campaign on Accelerated Reduction of Maternal Mortality in Africa (CARMMA), provide a platform for accelerating action to improve the health and wellbeing of women and their children.
