Each organization is allowed to submit only one application.

No. This call is exclusively open to CBOs based in Kenya.

No. Previous participation in calls issued by META consortium partners does not affect your eligibility for this grant.

If organisations apply for the grant as partners, they will need to list all the partners involved in the partnership, indicate the lead organization and provide a clear outline of their roles/responsibilities in the partnership and the value the partnership aims to achieve.

The contract will be signed between the lead organization and FEMNET. All organizations in the partnership must be based in Kenya.

Yes. The programme allows for implementation in multiple counties. It is not restricted to only the county where the CBO is registered. Applicants are free to propose activities that span more than one county, provided that the project design, resources, and capacity support effective delivery across the selected locations.

No. Applicants may use their own budget templates. However, the budget submitted should be clear, itemized, and directly aligned with the proposed activities.

You may be eligible to apply provided your organization is registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO). Only registered CBOs can apply directly. Organizations that work with CBOs or collaborate with them cannot apply on behalf of unregistered CBOs.

There is no mandatory budget template. Applicants may use their own templates, but the budget should clearly reflect the following main components:

  • Staff time: 20%
  • Administration: 10%
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: 10%

Unfortunately, individuals or unregistered groups are not eligible to apply directly. However, you may consider partnering with a registered CBO that shares your vision. If successful, FEMNET would sign a contract with the registered CBO, which would then collaborate with you to implement the project.

Student-led organizations or university clubs can apply only if they are formally registered as CBOs. Without registration, they are not eligible to receive funds directly. However, such groups may partner with a registered CBO and apply jointly. If the application is successful, the contract will be signed with the registered CBO.
