Iheoma Obibi

I am a seasoned feminist and human rights advocate with over two decades of experience working across Africa to advance gender justice, women’s rights, and community empowerment. My work spans program design, policy advocacy, movement-building, and strategic leadership within civil society organisations and donor-funded initiatives. I have led multi-country projects focused on sexual and reproductive health rights, prevention of sexual and gender-based violence, and strengthening feminist networks. I am a trained SEAH investigator.

My core competencies include strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, research and policy analysis, feminist leadership, and capacity strengthening for grassroots organisations. I bring deep expertise in intersectional feminism, safeguarding, and accountability mechanisms, particularly within under-resourced and marginalised communities.

As a board member and advisor to several African-led organisations, I have a proven track record of fostering inclusive governance and organisational resilience. I am passionate about supporting emerging feminist leaders and amplifying African women’s voices in global platforms.
