Nyawira is a Pan-African Feminist with a deep interest to disrupt patriarchal spaces and systems and recraft African narratives about young women and girls through art and dialogue.  She is particularly enthusiastic about listening, learning, mentoring and acting on the needs of teenage African girls in all their diversities. At FEMNET, she leads our work with young women and teenage girls to ensure that their voices are included. She has a background in Development Studies and Journalism (Radio Production) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.  Nyawira is a natural storyteller; this is not only her natural talent but also a strength that she is constantly working on.
