I’m a frontend engineer from Sierra Leone, now calling Ghana home having work there for nearly 4 years, and I’m all about using tech to make the world a bit more accessible for young women. In my day job, I work on building digital experiences that make tech more approachable, and outside of that, I’ve spent a lot of time mentoring young women in bootcamps and tech academies. It’s been eye-opening to see how much passion and potential these women have, and how much more can be unlocked when they get the right guidance.
I also actively attend webinars and events centered around gender equality, technology, and leadership. These opportunities have helped me stay connected with key conversations and build a network of like-minded individuals who are passionate about creating change.
Now, I’ll admit—I’m not a sports expert, but I recently found myself mentoring a group of preteens at the first-ever rugby game organized by my university alumni. I used my experience as a woman navigating a male-dominated field to connect with the girls, showing them how resilience and teamwork apply in all parts of life, not just the field. That experience reminded me that leadership can come from the most unexpected places.
I’m passionate about creating spaces where young women feel supported, empowered, and like they can actually make a difference. Because when we feel like we belong, that’s when real change happens.
