FEMNET will participate in the 4th Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville, Spain, to advance African feminist agendas in global finance. As the co-lead of the feminist workstream within the Civil Society Financing for Development Mechanism, FEMNET emphasises the lived experiences of African women to challenge inequitable debt burdens, opaque aid flows, and undervalued care work. Our schedule includes various side events focused on African Feminist Priorities in Global Financing, along with an accessible digital learning virtual library that elucidates Financing for Development processes. This opportunity fosters solidarity across regions, connecting grassroots voices with policymakers and influencing FfD4 outcomes towards sustainable, gender-responsive investments. Grounded in decolonial, rights-based frameworks anchored to regional instruments like the Maputo Protocol, FEMNET ensures that African women shape transformative financing outcomes at FfD4 and beyond.
